Itinerary

For this 2-day bike and Machu Picchu tour, we include hotel accommodations, meals, a guide for Machu Picchu, transportation, train tickets, entrance tickets to Machu Picchu, an MTB guide specialized in first aid and mechanics, a bike, and all safety equipment.

Day 1: Cusco – Moray Maras biking – Aguas Calientes

The Maras Moray bike route is very popular for mountain biking. Our excursion starts with a transfer from your hotel to the village of Chequereq, where we begin our bike ride.

The first section is on a gravel road, surrounded by agricultural fields of potatoes, corn, wheat, quinoa, and an incredible view of Huaypo Lagoon.

After this adventure, we reach the village of Misminay, the perfect spot to enjoy the best view of the agricultural laboratory “Moray.”

At midday, in the town of Maras, we will enjoy typical Peruvian dishes such as lomo saltado, causa limeña, and desserts.

To finish our bike excursion, we will cross the salt mines, the Urubamba River, and continue cycling along the river, surrounded by green forests and fruit trees. We will then transfer to Ollantaytambo to take the train to Aguas Calientes.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Our final day concludes with a visit to the wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. Here we won’t use bikes; all transfers are by train and bus.

The guided tour of Machu Picchu starts at 7 am and lasts between 2 to 3 hours. We will choose the best tourist route to visit this marvelous place, so we recommend booking 2 to 3 months in advance.
