ITINERARY

Day 1, Cusco – Pass Málaga Biking – Santa María – Vertical lodge Hotel

Before we begin our journey, our expert guide will conduct a comprehensive safety briefing, outlining the route and the proper use of your protective equipment—including helmet, gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads—along with a practical orientation on bike handling.

Our first day of adventure features an exhilarating 76-kilometer descent on paved roads. You will descend from the Málaga Pass at an altitude of 4,400 meters, dropping deep into the lush high jungle at 2,300 meters.

Along the way, we will visit the Wamanmarka (Huamanmarka) archaeological site—a significant Inca religious center built in the heart of the jungle on the ancient path toward the Wonder of the World, Machu Picchu. Mid-way through our jungle descent, we will pause to enjoy a gourmet box lunch, fresh fruit, and chilled water.

To conclude the day, our final stop will be the Cocalmayo Hot Springs, where you can relax and rejuvenate in these natural, therapeutic thermal waters.
