Itinerary

Our itinerary is detailed at the bottom of the day-to-day tour, including schedules, the names of the trails to ride, what’s included, what’s not included, and more.

Dia 1; Occopata – Devil’s balcony – huayllarcocha

Occopata trail: You will start with an impressive panoramic view of the Andean community of Occopata and finish with a view of the imperial city of Cusco, descending along an ancient Inca trail.

Technical Sections; Rock garden, flowing curves, and a small trekking section.

Devil’s balcony trail: Located just 40 minutes away, the trail for this route is delightful, featuring small uphill sections to pedal, but more than 70% of it is downhill.

We will also cross through the archaeological site of Chakan – Balcón del Diablo!

Huayllarcocha trail: The bike park for all local cyclists, designed for jumps ranging from small to large; the most fun part of this route is when you start descending through the streets with stairs, just like in classic Red Bull urban competitions!

Dia 2; Tipon – Huanacaure Inca Site

Tipon inca site: Pedal through sections of grasslands at 4,325 meters above sea level, descending to 2,900 meters, crossing small lagoons, lush green fields, agricultural areas, and local houses. You’ll connect to a fun Inca trail that leads to the village of Tipon.

Afterward, we’ll visit the Inca archaeological site of Tipon with a cultural guided tour inside.

Huanacaure inca site: All paths connect to the capital of the Inca Empire. In those times, Cusco was the most important city, which is why there are many trails, including Huanacaure that connects to the city of Cusco.

Today, you can enjoy this Inca trail by bike. It features smooth sections, steps, curves, and technical challenges. You will also visit the archaeological site of Wanakaure.

Dia 3; El brujo – El pastor – Yuncaypata

The Witch trail

At the top of the mountain, there’s a naturally formed stone that resembles the face of a witch, complete with a big nose. Because of this, the locals named this route “El Brujo.”

It’s considered one of the best enduro trails in Cusco, filled with sections of rocks, steps, curves, and vertical drops. Many cyclists compare this trail to those in Moab, Utah, or even Colorado.

El Pastor trail

On our way to El Pastor peak, we will encounter some families who raise sheep. The shepherds wear traditional Andean clothing, complete with a hat, boots, a lasso, and are often accompanied by their herding dogs.

This trail is full of surprises with narrow, flowing paths, technical vertical sections, small ramps, and an impressive view of the city of Cusco.

Yuncaypata trail

We conclude with one of the most classic bike park routes in the area. Every year, XC and downhill enduro competitions take place here, making it a must-visit on this 3-day MTB tour.

At the start of this route, you’ll find an Inca trail with sections of stairs, followed by a flowing path that leads into a eucalyptus forest. The trail becomes technical and vertical, known as the SAQRA-DIABLO section.

You can also use ramps of various sizes along the way.

After finishing this trail, we’ll hop on our transport to take you back to your hotel, wrapping up this enduro biking tour.
