If you want to learn more about this bike tour in Peru, we recommend that you check out the routes, features, and videos.

Day 1: Lima – Miraflores – Barranco by bike

Lima and its surroundings, such as Miraflores and Barranco, have bike paths for exploring the city and visiting some of the picturesque spots in the capital of Peru.

Most of this tour uses the bike path, which connects plazas, parks, museums, churches, and districts.

Miraflores: Kennedy Park, Miraflores Church, Virgen Milagrosa Parish, Love Park, Larcomar

Barranco: Bridge of Sighs, Holy Cross Church of Barranco

  • Path type: Urban
  • Difficulty: Basic
  • Maximum and minimum altitude: 300m – 200m
  • Total distance: 13 km
  • Route type: Cross-country
  • Duration: 3 hours

Day 2: Cusco – Yuncaypata

Yuncaypata is one of the most popular routes for local cyclists, so we believe it is a must-see.

The tour starts from our office, initially riding through the historic center of Cusco. After 20 minutes, we’ll be outside the city enjoying incredible green landscapes and viewpoints of archaeological sites.

After reaching the picturesque town of Huayllarcocha, we’ll take a break to see various llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, guanacos, guinea pigs, and the largest bird in South America, the condor.

The fun begins here as we descend on a gravel road or singletrack, both of which are beginner/intermediate level, ending in the district of San Sebastián.

  • Path type: Gravel/Singletrack
  • Difficulty: Basic/Intermediate
  • Maximum and minimum altitude: 3,750m – 3,400m
  • Total distance: 22 km
  • Route type: Cross-country trail
  • Duration: Approximately 4 hours

Day 3: Sacred Valley – Maras – Moray – Aguas Calientes

The Sacred Valley has many Inca paths connecting to Inca ruins. This day offers the best of this mountain bike tour.

The route starts with a spectacular view of Huaypo Lagoon, a captivating place surrounded by agriculture like potatoes, corn, and more.

The best view on this route is from the picturesque town of Misminay to the Inca ruins of Moray, which was an experimental site for growing plants and seeds from other regions brought from the jungle.

After this, you’ll enjoy typical food like lomo saltado, causa limeña, and dessert.

Our bike tour ends by crossing the salt mines; the path here is the most exciting, with smooth sections and an incredible view of the salt flats in Maras.

  • Path type: Gravel/Singletrack
  • Difficulty: Basic/Intermediate
  • Maximum and minimum altitude: 3,750m – 3,400m
  • Total distance: 35 km
  • Route type: XC trail
  • Duration: Full day

Daniel was great! The bikes were in good condition, he took good care of me and my daughter. We are seasoned riders and he is very fit so he gave us a good workout. The views of Cusco were gorgeous and the Alpaca farm was a special treat. I highly recommend Buho Tours!

I had a great day on a bike with Buho Tours. We’ve done El Bruho trail. Great views and Inka trails. Well worth it. They provide me with bike, helmet and pads. Much recommended if you in Cusco and want a break from visiting ruins.

I highly recommend Buho Tours! From the moment I met Daniel at the Buho Tours office, I knew I could trust him. He organized a personalized tour for our family of four, and everything was perfectly planned and exactly as agreed. The price was fair and reasonable. What really stood out was the quality of the equipment. The bikes, helmets, and gloves were all in excellent condition and of very high quality. We felt safe throughout the entire trip. I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting the Cusco region who wants to have an unforgettable adventure. The tour was absolutely amazing! Wojtek and family from Poland

Daniel was extremely helpful and helping us arrange a last-minute biking trip in the sacred Valley where we were staying. The trail was fun but just a warning it is bumpy. My boys were looking for something a little bit harder, and at one point he gave us the option and since I haven’t biked in a long time we took, the slightly easier route, but more difficult routes are available. The views were amazing and the other Daniel who was our guide was very knowledgeable and extremely nice. We highly recommend this company
