4 Inca ruins MTB “Sacsayhuaman”
This route is one of the most classic bicycle circuits that many traveling cyclists and local cyclists do as training to prove what it feels like to pedal 22 km from Cusco (3,300 m) up to 3,790 m with a positive unevenness of 450 m.
The path of this route is a paved track and a wide dirt road that crosses the 4 most visited ruins of the traditional city tour: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.

Today this route is known as “the enduro of the devil.” It has 24 km with a maximum elevation of 3,983 m and a positive slope of 700 m along a paved track road, a wide dirt road and a fun short singletrack.

How do I get to the Salkantay community?
To get to this place, you can do pure pedaling from Cusco if you have a good physique and you like real adventure.
For this route, there is no public transport that takes you to the Salkantay community.
If you only want to enjoy pure descent, we recommend you book a biking tour to the balcony of the devil with a travel agency specializing in adventure.
