Pisac trail for MTB enduro and XC cycling

Hi! I’m your MTB guide, Daniel. This blog is written by me. I’m a cyclist and a professional touring racer. I love cycling adventures and that’s why today I’m writing about some trail in Pisac, located in the Sacred Valley, routes for enduro and cross-country bike paths you can enjoy.

Pisac trail for MTB enduro and XC cycling

Before we begin, let me tell you about the town of Pisac. It’s a very picturesque or traditional place with colonial buildings, many of them built with adobe, classic blue balconies, and tiled roofs designed to retain heat from day to night.

It’s also a mystical place due to the immense Inca structure of Pisac, with terraces, plazas, and Inca houses divided by small streets with water pipes. That’s why many tourists want to spend a night in the town and explore this archaeological site on their own for a full day; you won’t get the chance to see everything on a traditional tour.

That’s why many local entrepreneurs build houses or cabins for affordable rentals on Airbnb. There are also teachers, pacos, and shamans dedicated to mystical tourism, such as Ayahuasca and San Pedro, to heal and cure the body and mind.

The Quinsacocha Cross-Country Route

This circuit can start from Cusco or Pisac itself. The distance and ability level vary accordingly. If you enjoy cross-country skiing on roads with ascents, descents, hikes, and unique views of the Kinsacocha, Azul Cocha and Puma Cocha lagoons, you’ll also have the opportunity to enter and explore the Inca archaeological site of Pisac.

At the beginning of the descent, you can combine short trail cuts. Some of them aren’t very technical. Any of these options will be great fun if you’re doing this tour by bike. Remember to bring:
